NYCC2013cover2

The biggest comic con on the east coast is almost here!

ConventionFloorplanAnd I’ll be there to take in all the insanity of 120,000+ in geek masses!  Byron Wilkins (of 1977) and I, representing the Webcomic Alliance, decided if we’re gonna go to this show… GO BIG! And what’s bigger than being neighbors with MARVEL? Take a peek at the floorplan here to the right, and “marvel” (*groannn*) at our placement! The worry is no longer not being where the crowds are, but TOO MUCH crowds!

I am SO excited for this weekend, but also a bit stressed! Byron, that crazy old fart, is making as 12+ hour drive from Chicago to Philly on Wednesday, crashing with me, and then we head out to NYC on Thursday! As we have for the past 3 years, we are renting an apartment near the Javits Center (highly recommended way to save on accommodations in NYC, btw!), along with friends Marc LaPierre (SuperFogeys) and Tyler James (ComixTribe). NYCC has the potential to be a very successful con financially, but the new connections & friends I’ll make combined with seeing old friends/fellow creators and spending time with them after the show (Drink & Draw events, helllloooo?!)… that’s what makes all this stress worth it!

WHO will be there: Me, of course! With Byron Wilkins (of 1977)! Look for the Webcomic Alliance banner!

WHERE we’ll be: Javist Center, 655 West 34th Street.
Small Press Section on the Main Show Floor, Booth #1367. Across from MARVEL.

WHEN we’ll be there: Oct 10-13th 2013! Thursday through Sunday! The times are listed below:

  • Thursday, October 10, 2013 – 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Only open to Press, Professionals, VIPS and Fans that purchase a 4-Day Ticket or Thursday Ticket.

HOW to get in & survive the show: Unfortunately, if you don’t already have a ticket, the show is sold out. If you’re desperate, maybe craigslist, ebay or stubhub would be of help. This is the type of show you plan WAY ahead for! But if you DO have a ticket, be prepared for the crowds and chaos by checking out THIS page! Some great tips!

WHY you should go: Do I really have to answer that?

Okay, okay, for this! Premiering at NYCC– my NEW Ghostbusters/Ecto Cooler print!!!
