I could dive into this as a deeper analogy for other things we humans tend to hang on to in the face of cold hard facts, but this story truly wasn’t intended to go in that direction. It actually winds up being more about Zorphie not being capable of letting an unsolved mystery go. As much as we DO know as an intelligent species, we still don’t know it all. And one has to wonder if we DID know everything there is to know… what would we strive for then?
