In 2 days, the release of Zorphbert and Fred Volume 2: Marriage Runs on Coffee will become official at the Philadelphia Comic Con, but some lucky sonuvaguns got their hands on it beforehand. Just to add some hype to the release, and to thoroughly thank some of Z&F’s biggest fans, here’s some awesome pics!

Ed of Hobo & Bowser is a twitter buddy of mine, and we share the love of doggie comics! As he put it, the caption for this picture is “I like to read my Z&F “where the magic happens”. I was just glad there was no toilet in this shot.
Ed and his friend Rich are the creators behind the comic Hobo & Bowser, Ed being the artist! The best way to describe H&B is seeing the imaginative adventures you had as a kid with your toys come to fruition in comic form! They have covered just about every breed and even tossed in a lop-earred bunny for good measure. A great comic for any young-hearted dog lover.

Jermaine McGruder of Warrior Born looks beyond happy holding Volume 2 in this picture, and that’s just my intent with making Z&F comics! One of my oldest fans and supporters on drunkduck.com, Jermaine has also been working hard at his own comic, a bad@$$ urban superhero action comic that continues to improve every time I drop by. In fact, he won “most improved comic” in the drunkduck awards! Now that’s a lesson in practice, devotion & determination!

D’awww……meet Laci and Bentley, some furry friends and apparently VERY smart dogs who can read comics! They adore Z&F, despite pretending they are ignoring their coveted collection here.
Actually, Laci and Bentley belong to longtime twitter friend Michael Phelps (no no, not THAT Michael Phelps) of the comic Life on 66… who LENT them my first 2 collections to peruse. Check out Mike’s comic for change of scenery- as he puts it: “Somewhere between hillbilly and urbania”…. there’s probably a gas station with an owner who knows everyone and a little cafe with great coffee and pie, with a practical joke or two thrown in for entertainment.

Also, a quote about the new book, from reader & fan Jennie Albinson:
I really do find Zorphbert and Fred extremely funny;
I usually find myself grinning, or even laughing out loud, when I read it. So much so, that my other half asks if I’m feeling all right.
