My obligatory reactionary comic to the recent events we all know about already. All joking aside, my sincerest thanks to the hard-working troops and CIA officials who made this possible. I may not be the type to celebrate the death of a human being, but I am happy for the closure it brings to the families of those who lost loved ones on September 11th. I know this is not at all the end of the war, but we accomplished what we originally set out to do. Hopefully this country can move forward, wiser and united, and find a way to safely bring the troops home.
I’d like to share a sketch I did the day Obama won the election:
I find it uncomprehensible that there are people like him who live miserable failed lives because of all the hatred in their hearts. I am glad they caught him and I am glad he is gone but there is some sadness in my heart that there are still people filled with such hate.
it is pretty sad. But that’s the thing.. they don’t see themselves as sad, they see US as the issue, and if WE were gone, THEY would be so much happier and peaceful. Crazy, huh? It’s the who’s-really-crazy debate. Though I think the majority of people out there are with us on that one.
Ha! You gotta love Fred’s enthusiasm there in the last panel. You did a good job on attacking this subject matter Dawn, very funny.
Man, I hope that was his remark “D’Oh” when the Navy unit came over his wall and stormed in with weapons hot. Osama found out really quick you can run but you can’t hide forever, that was definitely one long game of Hide-N-Seek but all things are brought into the light of day eventually.
I think Osama probably felt the best sacrifice he could make for his religion was his own death. I somehow doubt he was hoping he’d get away with it. He probably knew he was gonna be a goner at SOME point.
And yes, I am confident during the moment he was found amidst gunfire, his choice of words was non other than “d’oh.” That’s what I keep telling myself at least.
Where’s Obama should show a picture of the ocean..haa
Nice topical toon.
HA! Nice one bearman. I totlaly should put him in a ducky innertube and floaties.
Glad they got him… more for the reason that he won’t be able to destroy more lives and families. Even though I’m a good little liberal, I’ve always been on the fence about the death penalty, but in this case, I think they’ve made the world a better place.
I hear ya. I have no qualms with heartless people being killed for the sake of others’ lives. These people are dead on the inside already.
wow, that sounded cliche.
Love the kid’s eyes in the last panel, hehe!
