Why is it sooooo hard to not just chuck the goodies after Christmas? Shouldn’t I be sick of cookies and pumpkin pie by now? Shouldn’t I be craving a salad or some fruit after the holiday gorging? Shouldn’t my scale stop begging for mercy at some point?
Thus, the New Years’ Resolutions. This year I’m going to try to make my cut-off for eating 10pm (considering I go to bed between midnight and 1am, I figure that’s okay). So far, so good. Any resolutions from you guys?
HAHAHAHAHA!! Great page today, Dawn! That was funny.
Thanks! Happy to bring ya a hearty laugh like that!
jeeze be rude to the loving kind cheese cake that only wants to hug your thighs, I MEAN REALLY!!
Never thought of it that way… the only thing that truly loves my chunky behind: cheesecake!
“cha-Ching” Were there Ralley Burgers in that stack of food??
mmmm…. burgers…..
damn you!
I sometimes feel this way, especially with dish washing. I just look at the pile of dishes and think, “Can we just move?”
We’re lucky enough to have a dishwasher that works. However, this results in pretending the dishwasher will just empty itself if I wait long enough. Thanks for the comment!
I’ve thought about throwing away the scale many times.
I try to cut off at 9. I’ll eat a little snack around 8:30 if I plan to stay up late. Keeps me hungry for breakfast in the morning!
Yeah, I should probably up that cut-off time to 9pm, but I get so hungry come midnight it keeps me from falling asleep!
Love. It. But did you have to do an artists rendering of scrumptious brownies?
Try having to DRAW them, while glaring at your carrot sticks. I imagine it must be similar to when acne-covered geeks have to draw those scantily-clad big-chested women in their comics. What you cannot have, you draw.
*licks computer screen*
Tired of pumpkin pie! NEVER!!
Yeah, all dietitians say eating at night is the WORST thing to do. We eat an early dinner, so I get the munchies around that time as well. Hard habit to kick. The reason is we don’t really burn off the calories as we draw a comics, or watch sports, or whatever… Ugh… you had to bring up weight loss, eh?
I also think you meant to say in your post that you go to bed somewhere between Midnight and 1 AM not PM. That’s a 13 hour window for sleeping! Nice!
🙂
um, yes… bedtime at 1am. Gotta fix that.
My typical “munchie” in the late evening were these cheddar cheese rice cakes. Soooo tasty, and not too heavy. But I am hoping cutting even those will help. Who the hell knows. A bum thyroid certainly doesn’t help either.
The only way to ensure that there will be no goodies left after the holidays is to have a bunch of brothers and sisters who eat it all before you get a bite!!!
Frustrating, but effective!
I need more siblings. Even my dog is too good to sneak off with some dessert item. Good/BAD dog!
Why are the good things in life so…. well… good? They should make chocolate covered scales. Then I’d invest.
I wonder if choco-covered carrot sticks would be any good. Eh, like it matters, my body would send the chocolate to my @$$ and ignore the fact that I ate a carrot.
Now that’s my idea of taking care of a weight problem. If you get rid of the scales you got nothin to worry about. Of course, if I could ever fix that stupid dryer that keeps shrinking my pants every time I turn around I’d be better off too. 🙂
ah HA! so it’s the dryer! I was blaming the pants themselves.
Your coloring has been looking extra-fantastic lately, Dawn!
Thanks George! Don’t feel as though I am doing much differently.. other than adding in some patterns for variety.
HA! Excellent material.
anything involving cake usually IS god material. IMO, anyway. Thanks!!
I meant “good”, but hey… we can all agree that cake is sent-from-God, too.
My choice would be that as well
wurd up, buddy. um.. yo.
Denial has never been an easy deal 😀
hey man, if I get cake in the end, it WAS an easy deal.
