Byron and I had a table at the first comic con I ever exhibited at, c2E2 in Chicago. And therefore, we are forever bonded in that respect. It was one helluva time, and the birth (though we didn’t know it at the time), of what would be Webcomic Alliance. I had little doubt that Bryon would submit something, and boy did he out-do himself with this hilarious take on “bridesmaid fights”. If anyone should trademark “chick fights” as his own art-form, it’s Byron.
(This scene couldn’t be further from the truth for my wedding. Even if I wanted to do a bouquet toss, the single girls who are left would have nothing to do with this tradition.. so it may be more like a game of bouquet-TAG!)
For the few of your who don’t already know Byron’s awesome work, 1977 The Comic is Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll, just not in that order! (and also only for adults, kiddies… sorry!) Jump on the gravy train with this raucous crew, and enjoy the ride!

Dawn and Rick, whom the human characters in Z&F are loosely based around, are (finally) getting married after 7 years together, on November 6th, 2010. These terrific guest strips and artwork were submitted as a wedding gift by fellow webcomic creators and readers, using Dawn’s Wedding Guest Art Registry. Dawn.. erm, OKAY, I am very grateful for all the time and effort put into these awesome pieces and plan to include them in a special section of our wedding album. Thank you all SO much … for such a unique wedding experience.. and for feeding my website so I can take a much needed break!
Regular Z&F strips will return on Christmas Day! My holiday gift to you, readers ;0)
Great job Byron. Leave it to you though to make sure there was a girl fight in there..haha
Even aliens, especially those a long way from home, deserve a *little* fun now and then…
🙂
And, it was WAS fun! Skin-a-max fun!
Awesome job Byron. Those chicks are definitely putting the hurt down on each other. At some point someone needs to throw some oil in there to help move things along…right? Or at least get them a mud pit. 🙂
Always room for Jell-O…. 🙂
Mmmmmm… jelllo. OO! How about Jello Pudding? Cosby-approved!
NICE! Always nice to see one’s work on another site! Damn, that’s big…
It was partially due to doing this comic for you that convinced me to convert 1977 to a full page comic. It was so much fun to draw in a larger format (old eyes, man). So thank you for that!
Anytime you need a guest comic, you can knock on my door and I’ll give Z&F a little more girl-fight fun…
🙂
Thanks so much Byron! Have to say those are the most prudish bridesmaid’s dresses I have seen in a while. Must be a Little House on the Prairie wedding. Those chicks have some pent-up anger to spew over a bouquet.
;0)
Nice job, Byron! I would have loved to have heard that collision! 😀
I imagine it sounding like 15 cats being thrown at each other at 35 mph.
