Rick sorta-recently (ok, in the past 6 months) grew a full goatee. Being that I updated my own character when I got my hair cut, I figured I should do the same for him.
Can’t say I never did anything for ya, hon.

Yeah, women love the rugged look on *other* men… usually not their own man. I get the “you beard is scratchy; shave it off!” while I’m in the growing mode of my beard. Doesn’t help my beard grows slower than snails too. 😛
I’ve never known Rick without some facial hair, if I shaved it off, he would BE “another man”!!!
Have tried both the full beard and the goatee… the wife loves the goatee. If you’re a guy, and a cartoonist, I think there may be a standard goatee requirement…
Oh yeah, comic artist HAVE to have a goatee… as do old farts. It’s in the rule book… 🙂
Although, since I have a goatee, I wonder what my evil twin would have… or maybe I’m the evil twin…
ha, Rick has been told he’s his own evil twin now with the goatee. When and where did goatee = evil? Was there a horde of villains who all had goatees?
funny. Rick’s got more in common with us ‘tooners than he even thought. I’ll have to share that with him.
My wife complained about my growing one til I finally had it. Now if I even think of taking it off, I get the evil eye. I kind of want it off now that its the grayest thing on me! o.O …ahhh well, it’ll come off in death I guess.
that’s the spirit LOL!!!
Liking the new tweaks, Dawn! Looks good.
Thanks George! I think the touch of color helps more than I thought it would…
Cartoonists with goatees??? Whatever in the world are you talking about??? 🙂
I think ex-high school baseball coaches are in the same category too – I think booth are required to have goatees so hence the reason I have mine.
Although I will say, I prefer mine to be in the very short, just a stage above “five o’clock shadow”… otherwise, it gets really itchy and I start pulling and twisting it as if I’m trying to mold it like Rolly Fingers and his handlebar mustache. 🙂
In fact, my current goatee length is due for another trim right now.
wow, um, thanks for the detailed insight on beard-ownership there Chris. Kinda glad I’m a female and beards are.. erm… “frowned upon”….
:0)
