All I can say about this one is… somewhere, my Pun-Tastic mother is laughing, and taking credit for her daughter making puns in her comics.

The electrical cord attached to the player of such devices would make a much better garotte.
probably, but isn’t it funnier to visualize a strangling by cassette tape.. erm, tape? LOL
It’s absolutely amazing how technology get’s smaller and smaller, yet storage size get’s greater. We definitely live in a very technologically fast paced world where yesterday’s great invention is soon replaced. One of the things about the old audio media is the purity of it. I still love listening to records, especially some of the old 45’s that I’ve still got.
Zorphbert may not be that far off on his observation. With Bluetooth, wireless this and that, it won’t be long before someone moves towards implants or behind the ear devices that are unnoticeable.
certainly is scary how fast technology becomes obsolete. and how much we’re trained to NEED/WANT the next big thing.
I actually collect vintage stereo stuff… I have old vacuum tube “hi-fi” amps and tube stereos from the 50’s & 60’s. One of my favorites is an old tube-amped reel to reel player with an 8 track player built into the side. I have to say, though… I love plugging the iPod into those old 60’s stereos. Right now I’m listening to my iPod pumped through an old 1946 wooden radio!
that’s pretty dang awesome Jerry! My dad hung on to his reel-to-reel long enough that my friends would come over to make fun of it, LOL. But you take it to the retro-cool level!
