It’s a guilty pleasure of mine, these silly ghost shows. However, I have grown tired of the plethora of ghost hunting type shows… they are all basically the same, just different hosts/personalities. Good for background noise, when drawing comics actually– mainly because 90% of the time nothing happens. Currently, my favorite “trashy” ghost tv series is Paranormal Witness– which actually isn’t a ghost HUNTING show, but a retelling of people’s “actual” ghost stories. I have to admit, it’s done quite well in terms of special effects and the actors used to recount the story are SO much better than other similar series’. If you enjoy “real” stories, told my the actual people involved with some decent visuals, you’ll dig it.
And, of course, they have to attract the ghost by switching all the lights in the house off. Everyone knows that!
of course! Ghosts like scary. It’s like attracting a dog with something smelly.

OMG!!! It clicked!!!
Some shows aren’t that good. 🙂
Most aren’t, really.
I absolutely love those shows, the stage presence of the investigators are always the best, how many of them get themselves so geared up for something that doesn’t pan out. “OH MY GOSH THAT CHAIR JUST MOVED!!!” “Ooops sorry guys, that was my power cord wrapped around the leg, it’s free now.” I just always assume they are asking the wrong question too. I’m sure there’s a ghost standing in the corner just going “Knock!? Knock!? Man, are you serious? That’s tough!! I can sure move a ball across the room, why don’t you ask me that. I don’t get to the knocking part of this haunting manual until like page 275.”
indeed, there’s a reason why “ghosts” get out of hand in movies, as opposed to these hunting shows. A knock or some orbs/smoke are about as crazy as you’ll get… unless you have Hollywood’s special effect pros (and a fictional script) to utilize!
This reminds of the South Park episode where they hire the ghost hunters. I always kill myself laughing when they wet their pants and call it “ectoplasm”
ahahaha, I haven’t seen that one! But I certainly don’t doubt ya!
It’s the episode where Ike start seeing dead celebrities. If you only watch one episode of South Park it won’t disappoint 😉
There’s a reason the retelling of the story is good. Because the real story didn’t happen 🙂

But seriously, Zak Bagans and Ghost Adventures is the best.
I’ve been watching “Mountain Monsters”. It’s hilarious! Reminds me of “Duck Dynasty” chasing bigfoot!
ahahaha! sounds like a paranormal trainwreck show.
Yep! They always rig up these big snap traps that rarely catch anything, but “We shore showed that thang, dinnt we?! Hit aint never gonna come ’round here no more!” XD
Only 15?
they only get basic cable LOL
