I like how well Fred turned out in the first panel, downing all that cereal upside-down. A true sign of an addict, apparently– O.D.-ing in an abnormal position.
Oatmeal, the natural plain kind, really does suck. I have to add some sorta sweetener, butter, or maybe nuts and honey. That’s the frustrating thing about healthy eating. If it tastes good, 9 times out of 10 it’s not good for you. If you hate it, it’s probably the best thing you could eat.
Now I’m craving Cinnamon Toast Crunch. My favorite childhood cereal.

Actually, I have the same reaction to oatmeal as sugar cereal, so I don’t eat either of them

Diabetes. Both spike my blood sugar. Both are not good for me.

seriously, only way I “like” my oatmeal is with brown sugar and butter! But the adult in me will resist ruining the goodness of oatmeal.
