I think we “first-worlders” get too caught up in what we SHOULD own, SHOULD be doing, where we SHOULD be going… that we burn through our LIVES. Life is what we make it, with what we have. Seems to me when you hear the advice of the elderly who have lived great lives… it usually comes down to this philosophy. Sorry to get preachy, but I think this would be my best guess at the meaning of life. To gather what is available to you, maximize it, and make memories… even if it’s on a ratty old couch :0)
