As a Cleveland fan, all I can say is, thank goodness I live near Philly and can revel in the Flyers surprising playoff run. Nothing is better than the young, hungry, underdogs fighting their way through the old standbys… and coming back from 3 down, against unprecedented odds, to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals! Thank you, Flyers, from distracting me from the impending Cavaliers implosion, that I as a bitter and pessimistic Cleveland fan, can only expect.
Alright, enough sports.
Comic Con Announcement:
For all of you on the East Coast, I am exhibiting at the Philadelphia Wizard World Con (click to see my listing!) , June 11th-13th, 2010. My table-mate is none other than Byron Wilkins of 1977, yet again! We make a good team ;0) I will be selling the NEW Z&F Volume 1 COLLECTION, as well as my Abby’s Adventures kids books, and a brand new CON EXCLUSIVE sampler book! Hope to see you there!
Man, I’m exhausted from just watching that battle of wits. I hate it when the build up of Air Hockey becomes more than you can handle. Great job on the strip today, the close up of the eyes is awesome, not to mention Fred sporting his best Ref attire and his OREO. 🙂
I haven’t followed the Stanley Cup and much of Hockey in years, but with the Flyers fighting their way in this year, I may have to really give it a watch this year. It’s always exciting when you see the Underdog claw and fight their way into a position like that. Go Flyers!
Not a huge hockey fan myself (grew up in Cleveland, no pro hockey here, probably the reason), but I ALWAYS appreciate an underdog battle… and when sports history is made! Glad to have you aboard the fightin’ ORANGE bandwagon!
Five for twitching! 🙂
LOL! nice.
That’s right, lady – let the bitterness shine through! I took my oldest to his first hockey game for the last Blues game of the year (vs. the Anaheim Mighty Ducks), and they won that particular game (but obviously that was the end for them), but you’re right – there’s nothing like a good underdog story.
I’ll be buying my Z&F Collection soon – and am looking forward to the next Abby’s Adventures!
There’s also nothing like seeing a child truly marvel at their favorite sports hero…. ah, if only that innocence and wonder could last. Thanks Winnie!
Sorry to be the douche to point this out…but it’s “forfeit”. That’s what happens when Fred gets to be in charge of editing!
…and I’ll be buying a book soon.
Oh no… please PLEASE point out typos! I hate typos, and the late hours I pull trying to get these comic done results in some “sleepy typing”… I’d rather know about and fix it.
Thanks man!
Thanks to reading your numerous Tweets, Dawn, I blame you for getting me all worked up about hockey nowadays. 😀
