For those hardcore LOTR fans, yes, I know Fred & the Weird Kid aren’t being 100% true to their role-playing characters…. they switch up according to scene….which is how I would imagine kids would. So, anyway, get over it *wink*
Less than a week to turn in your contest entries, friends! Thanks to those who did already, so excited about sharing them with the world! Or at least, my little world. What contest you say? Well…
Seriously, even just a sketch can be entered, and I promise to give you a little plug (and some hits). ‘Course you can go hog wild and do a full page color masterpiece and I SUPPOSE I’ll have to accept that as well, heh.
🙂
thanks ;0)
Haha – very nice!!
gracias!
he was crazy, did you ever see the size of those books? who needs to read that bad? whew, lol
These aliens read REALLY fast. Lucky.
One Weird Kid to Rule Them All!
Niiiice.
Full colored masterpiece delivered. I’m exhausted… on a side note after reading all of the first 2 LOTR books I am about 60 pages short of finishing Return of the King and have been so for about 6 years now. It’s on my list of things to finish before I die.
and quite the masterpiece it was, Chuck. THANK YOU!
Hope you finish your reading… I know I read Return of the Kind a looooong time ago… but I remember little of it. Movie jogged my memory. The Hobbit was always my standby.
I even read the Silmarillion . . . (damn, did not want to reveal that ever . . .)
ha ha, DORK!
I love the background detail! That book looks like it would make a great weapon, too.
definitely. Big and whack-able. Thanks.. those backgrounds took me a while. Couldn’t skimp on that.
Hey – I relate to imaginary creatures all the time – honest politicians, scrupulous lawyers, people who liked “Juwanna Mann”, and normal Winnies.
normal winnies… now there’s a mythological creature.
Hey, if I learned anything from Calvinball, it’s that games are the most fun when you can make up the rules as you go.
Also, I like the Burger King crown they’re using. Does BK still provide those? Perhaps I’ll go check today…
Oh yea, lack of sleep lately, but I’ll have my submission by Thursday night, I’m sure.
Hey how do you get the calendar page as the date on your blog? I have the non-fancy text only.
Man, this is a long comment.
ahhhh… Calvinball. *sigh*
Psyched you noticed the BK crown! tee hee…
Looking forward to your submission, I’m sure it’ll be great! Oh, and I had Mr. Frumph over at webcomicplanet.com help me with my wordpress theme, I believe he’s responsible for the calendar icon thingy. It’s probably part of another theme somewhere. Actually, I was gonna ask him if he could help me change that to my avatar, heh.
annnnnd…This is a long response to a comment ;0)
Hey… isn’t Zorphie a fan… oh.
Zorphie isn’t a “fan” of much. grumpy old man.
Still never liked those books… I was more of an Amelia Bedelia fan.
wow… forgotten about Amelia…
I couldn’t get into those books. I have a hard time reading fiction, because in the back of my head I know it’s – well – fiction! I love the movies though.
aww, c’mon, fiction is fun! What are you, and ALIEN? LOL
I do kinda understand tho… I enjoy movies that I know were “based on a true story”… makes them more intriguing.
