God I hated this game. It unnerved me beyond what a child of 5 or 6 should be…. probably more stressful than the S.A.T.’s.
And although it’s not actually part of the same line (Hasbro) of the other Operation games, there is actually an “Alien Autopsy” game with the same premises. I figured Fred would be shocked by this, so I had to mention it in this comic.. even if it’s stretching the truth. What I do for humor!
Here’s a little history on the Operation game… which is kinda bizarre if you think about it.
maybe that is why Walter played it on Fringe…oh wait, I think that was the singing Fringe episode, which was rather more Cringe than Fringe…lol
I need to catch an episode of this “Fringe”. I keep hearing about it.
Do they really make those alternate versions of Operation like the endless variations of Monopoly? (Hell, we might be seeing a Z&F Monopoly pretty soon!)
ha ha, the name of Z&F Monopoly would be “Z&F Take over The World!” (picture of Z&F looking confused, with the weird kid in the background doing the Mr. Burns “Eeeexcellent”). And “The world” on the board game itself would be suburbia. You build lemonade stands and have yard sales. LOL
Man I used to love operation when I was younger, I haven’t played that in like forever. I saw the other day they had a Toy Story 3 Operation game out as well. It’s crazy how many variations of something there could possibly be.
I think a t Z&F Operation (Featuring Fred as the subject) would be totally cool.
Karl: I know that singing episode was supposed to be clever, but it was really a very un-needed episode. I love Fringe, and I think that is why Walter perfects his traits on Operation, so when he moves over to Alien Autopsy he’ll have super steady hands. 🙂
I saw that buzz lightyear version on the Hasbro site when doing research! (linked above). Must be fun coming up with “ailments” to remove.
I’ll put a Z&F Operation game on my list with the Monopoly game.

Ha! Sounds like that operation is highly classified! 🙂
yeah, only to be done by children ages 5-14.
I don’t know about Alien Autopsy. Around here they don’t wait until you are dead and sometimes they put your skin on backward…. Oh.. you meant performing an autopsy on aliens… Yeah, I could go for that.
*shudders*
This game is the reason I’m on anti-anxiety medicine.
I feel ya bro… I still get jittery thinking about it.
I have a Star Wars Monopoly set, but I had no idea they made an Alien Autopsy one for Operation! And that leads me to a question… who thought up of Operation to begin with? It’s fun, but kinda creepy.
They seem to get the max out of all these board games by making new versions with a kids favorite character, that’s for sure. But the alien autopsy one is a separate entity from the Hasbro line. see my links above. Both are creepy, I agree.
