It’s been a running joke with a few friends of mine, that whenever an odd phrase arises… such as “99 Candy Corns”, or “Drunken Kitty Pirates”, it is met with the declaration of “NEW BAND NAME!” Usually, someone then announces said obscure band “on stage”. “Put your hands together for…. the hottest band on earth… 99 CANDY CORNS! Helllllllllooooo Cleveland!”
Thus, this comic had to be made.
This little iPad story has become a bigger iPad story. See how it all started by going HERE.
What are the odds of making up a name and having nobody else have already thought of it? Slim to none.
I just noticed that Fred got the idea from the shirts of passers-by. Much worse idea.
hee hee, thanks for noticing at least!
You know what… I think Marc might have been a tour bass player for that group. 🙂
you don’t say! ha ha ha :0)
What has me rolling in the aisles is the fact you have an alien in a dog suit, dressed as a hipster while talking to the schnauzer in his pants! …it writes itself! [wide eyed grin]
5: agree strongly
LOL, well it’s good to be downright silly and keep upping the ante as far as you can go. I should throw Nettika in the other pant leg.
See this is why I don’t talk to my underpants anymore, they always give me the worst advice. 🙂
Speaking of 99 Candy Corns, didn’t they have that off the radio hit “A Cavity for every season”? 🙂
@65980a11f7dfa9c0ff321fdfc6dee99b:disqus That was very clever of Fred to be that observant enough to piece a name together from his environment. I don’t think Zorphbert gives him the credit he deserves sometimes.
couldn’t been the 99 Candy Corns with a radio hit, they ARE a “hipster” band and hipster music does NOT make it to the radio. If it does, it’s instantly not cool anymore. :0)
I’m loving this story!
Thanks Jason!
