If you own a dog, you know the feeling of being jolted awake by a smelly furry creature with no sense of personal space. And a slobbery tongue.

Now that would scare me too. 🙂
even just the dog (alien) breath…

even just the dog (alien) breath…
Yes! I love that about dogs! And I appreciate seeing “frack” in a comic. There’s just not enough “frack” in the world anymore…
I’ll be sure to include it in my vocabulary more often, just for you Winnie :0)

I had a poodle growing up that would wake you up like that. Â You could sense the presence and as you opened yours eyes she’s lay those ears back for a second, then start wiggling all over like crazy. Â Revisiting home when she was older and I’d been away for a while there were several mornings like this one where I would be jolted awake after getting use to not having dog breath as my alarm clock.Â
I love the second panel with them in just soft colors, really adds to that distorted waking up look of the world. Â Nicely done.
LOL– you describe it so well, I can totally picture mornings with this poodle, Todd! My dog does the same thing.. ears back, tail wagging so hard her little butt moves despite how still she’s trying to be. Then, the smelly full-face lick that seals the deal.. I am UP.

I don’t know why, but during R.E.M. sleep I always dream of shiny happy people…
niiiiiiice.
You’ve been waiting forever to use that, haven’t ya?

 lol How did you know?
Shiny… you mean, like, sparkling?
Oh no! It’s Twilight and its getting into your dreams!
That may be shiny, but I’m not sure about happy… aren’t those Twilight guys known for being all broody?
Our Chinese Crested, Angus jumped up on my bed at 5am this morning & scared the daylights outta me as I suddenly fet something hit the bed. Z & F certainly got a good reaction. Or a bad reaction depending on your viewpoint
whew, jumping on the bed is even worse! You don’t even get the courtesy of slowly awakening to the early morning smells of dog breath. ick.
In the world of comics, this would be a GOOD reaction!
Theres nothing I miss more than being awoken by nose curling dog breath and a wagging tail! [grin]
