Man, do I miss snowball fights. Building the fort took 75% of your day… then the fight was a mad outburst of ice and snow and rocks flinging every which way… lasting approximately 12.5 minutes. At the end of the fury, mom was waiting inside with hot chocolate by the fire. Good times.
Here’s a video of the first panel being drawn:
Love it and the notes took me back 40 odd years. We didn’t waste a lot of time building the fort, grandad had a lot of wooden forms from the local foundry and we just packed the snow on those. Good times.
We didn’t even bother with the snowballs, a nice big rock always worked wonders! (And covering it in Tipp-Ex first made it all the sweeter).
Great comic! Makes me wish I had indulged in more snowball fights (except the kids around my way buried rocks in theirs).
lempki: ha, good story. We used to use plastic sleds and trash cans. *siiiigh* so much fun.
Rich: Tipp-ex? Google, here I come. Yeah, I remember packing rocks in snow to make them pass as snowballs, but boy did I get in trouble with ma.
George: welcome! Thanks for checking out Z&F. rocks, you say… I hope that wasn’t MY crowd, LOL. I think adults should be able to have recess from their office on snowy days to have a snowball fight!
Ah, I thought that Tipp-Ex was an American brand, it turns out it’s not. But you lot did invent correction fluid itself, so well done on that count. 🙂
err, i’ve found a typo. second panel, dual. the right word is duel.
i’ve reading your comic from all the beginning, and it’s great!
wow, good catch! I’ll have to correct that. Thanks for checking out Z&F, bachterman! Hope to see you around ;0)
