This little scene came straight out of my life back in my college days. One of my roommates had her boyfriend visiting for a couple weeks, and I used to think it was adorable when he’d find a way to get her out the door on time.. usually by luring her with her own coffee. At the time I thought it was the perfect example of the ying-and-yang that makes soul mates click. It’s those little things, the way one has patience for the other’s flaws, the way one completes the other.
Ironically, they ended up splitting after college. And, not that it hinges on that, but I don’t believe in the classic idea of “soul mates” anyway.
*ahem* Soooo.. anyhoo…. hope you enjoy today’s update.

Oh! I was enjoying your little side story, and then it was like, “but now they hate each other…” (okay, you didn’t say that, but it still was a let-down…) But I do love both the strip and the ex-boyfriends idea. That’s pretty cool. I knew my guy was the one when he could quote both the movie “Boomerang” and “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”… But I think we’re going to split up so I can see if “Coffee Guy” is available…
Heh, I realized some would see their breakup as a downer, but.. to me.. that’s just the weirdness of life. If “soul mates” don’t have to be mates for life… then maybe people can match up as soul mates for portions of their life. Sometimes it may be for an entire lifetime, but nothing is guaranteed. All you can is try to ride it out with someone who matches up well with yourself.
anyway, moving past my little speech, those are 2 random movies to be able to quote, LOL. Hey, if you found that guy, stick with him! Let Starbucks be your on-the-side lover. ;0)
Nah, I actually agree with you. Moving on, and living life, finding love in other people, things, your work, music is part of life, and life experience.

it’s cool. Coffee is neither feminine or masculine. It is the caffeinated beverage that unites us all.

Yeah, I’m the one who makes us coffee in the morning. It has saved my life on countless occasions. But the way my wife drives, sometimes I wish it was scotch. Don’t get me wrong,
